Sleep well: backups that actually happen

Everyone agrees backups are essential. Almost nobody has them. Not out of laziness — out of friction: the tooling is fiddly, the schedule is someone else's job, and the day you need one is the day you discover the last one was never made. So we made it two clicks and a switch.

Back up now

Open the Backups room, press Back up now. MAESTRO gathers everything that would ruin your week if it vanished — your websites, your configuration, and every database — into a single archive. A minute later it's sitting in the list with its size and timestamp, and there's a Download button next to it.

That download button matters more than it looks: a backup that lives only on the same machine isn't really a backup. One click and you have a copy on your own laptop, safely away from whatever might go wrong.

Or never think about it again

Flip Nightly backup on and MAESTRO takes one every night at 3am, quietly, forever. It keeps the last seven and clears out the older ones by itself — so you get a week of history and your disk never silently fills up. That last detail is the difference between a feature and a trap.

The honest bit

Restoring with one click, and shipping copies automatically to another location, are still on our roadmap — we'd rather tell you plainly than imply more than we do. What works today: complete backups, on demand or nightly, that you can download and keep. That already puts you ahead of most servers on the internet.

"Back up my server now." · "Turn on nightly backups." · "When was my last backup?" The assistant handles it and confirms before anything runs.

The point of a backup isn't the file. It's the sleep.
